Why did you join FFA?

I first became interested in FFA when I took a required agriscience class in middle school. I was motivated by my grandfather, a past Delaware FFA Member, to become involved. Later that year, I became a charter member of the Reddding Middle School FFA Chapter and took and active leadership position as Treasurer.  Ever since then, my love of FFA has grown as the opportunities and experiences it has awarded me have become more rewarding.

What has been your most challenging FFA experience?

My most challenging experience as an FFA Member would probably be when I served as Vice President of my chapter my sophomore year. I had to learn how to cooperate and work with upperclassmen as I learned what it was like to be a chapter officer.

Who has had the greatest impact on your life?

My grandmother has had a tremendous impact on my life. She has always been there when I needed advice.  She has motivated me to do many things I would not have done if it wasn't for her.

If you had a million dollars, what would you do with it?

If I had a million dollars, I would put it toward breast cancer research.  Every year, one in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer.  This terrible disease leaves families without parents and mothers without daughters.

Final thought

Serving as a state officer is a tremendous honor.  I sincerely look forward to serving Delaware FFA Members so that they will have an even better experience in FFA than I did. Delaware FFA Members truly have the "Leadership Advantage!"
