Delaware FFA Foundation Wine Tasting

The Delaware FFA Foundation and Alumni are pairing up to host a Wine Tasting at Pizzadili Winery in Felton, Delaware on June 24, 2011 from 5:30pm to 8:30pm.  Tickets are on sale through June 15th for $60/person which includes heavy hors d'oeuvres, dessert, wine tasting, tour of the winery and a Pizzadili Winery souvenir. Both the Foundation and Alumni provide scholarships for agriscience students pursuing further education and to help offset costs for FFA Members and chapters when involved in events related to leadership development, personal growth and career success. Come out for a evening of music, delicious fare, and camaraderie and support Delaware FFA!

County Representative Applications Posted

County Representatives are elected to bring the student voice to the State Association, assist the State Officers, and serves as an opportunity to work above the chapter level before applying as a State Officer Candidate. 6 Representatives will be announced at State Convention. Advisors can bring to application judging on February 2nd.

President Amber Bullock is challenging each chapter to put forth a candidate for State Office in 2011. The application is now available online. Due to the weather, the State Officer Candidate  and Nominating Committe mandatory  meeting will now be held February 7th at Collette Education Center from 5-6:30 pm.

State Officer Candidate Workshop Cancelled

Due to the weather and school closings, the State Officer Candidate Workshop has been canceled for 2/1/10.  An e-mail will be sent to your advisor with the information to study for the test to be given on 3/1/10.  State Officer Candidates will meet with the current team prior to taking the test. 

Delaware State University Summer AgriScience Institute

An awesome summer experience available for current sophomores and juniors, enrolled in agriscience! Through a competitive application process, 20 agriscience students will be selected to attend the DSU-Summer Agriscience Institute from June 21 - July 16, 2010.  These students will live on campus where they will learn about issues, topics and challenges pertinent to agriculture, work side by side with DSU researchers in the College of Agriculture and Related Sciences and their peers to develop group study projects focusing in the areas of water quality, biotechnology, animal science, plant science and more!  Students have access to a variety of laboratories, applied research sites and innovative equipment through the College of Agriculture and Related Sciences.  Application online now! Deadline February 15th, so don't miss out!

This is the newest version and should be used for those interested in running for the 2010-2011 office.  Please read carefully because there are changes in information, the State Officer Commitment Form and Deadlines.  Package due February 1st at the Mandatory State Officer Candidate Meeting.  New this year - all candidates will take the written test on March 1st.
